Frances Maedel is a local treasure here in Monroe. She moved here
from Pennsylvania in 1945. Fran graduation from Indiana University
of Pensylvania and earned a bachelors of science in art, she later
taught art in the Monroe Public Schools for a while and in her own
studio for a while.
Fran is prolific in many mediums.
A Member of Monroe Art league, The Bedford Art club, The Toledo
Artist Club, The Toledo Women's Art League, and finally The
Northern Ohio Water Color Society.
You can always find her on Tuesday afternoons gathered together
with her fellow artist in her own Monroe Studio, where she opens
her doors to those interested in the arts and painting.
