Sara Beth's primitive folk style comes to life in her reverse paintings. A native of Monroe Michigan. Curator and co-owner of the Monroe Street Art Gallery.
Her poetic & creative imagination gives life to each of her paintings. “Painting helps me take my imagination to a different plain. Where dreams become reality”. Her story telling personality comes to life in each of her paintings. Each painting has a life of its own and a story to tell while revealing the mood and spirit of the artist. Her art is primitive and rustic which gives the feel of a time past.
A Unique style set in vintage window frames. Where the paint is applied directly to the glass on the reverse side. Where every word is written from right to left backwards. The details are placed first to the glass and then layered in with the background in a timely process until finished and then coated with a second painting in oils to seal the work. Since Sara Beth is left handed this style has come natural to her. She uses illuminating paint in many pieces, so when the light shines on the glass it gives the illusion of movement.
